Official Arkansas State Police dashcam footage captures Trooper Dustin Arnold racing to the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving then-Cpl. John M. Parker near Monticello, Arkansas (U.S. Highway 278 / Drew County area) on the evening of August 21, 2026.
Arnold’s recording begins roughly 46 miles away near Moro Bay State Park. He drives at high speeds (reaching nearly 100–120 mph at times) to assist with the accident investigation. Later that night, around 9 p.m. at Troop F headquarters in Warren, Arnold administered the standardized field sobriety tests that indicated impairment and led to Parker’s charges of Driving While Intoxicated/Drugs and Careless and Prohibited Driving.
Parker, a 12-year ASP veteran, was not injured in the crash. He resigned two days later on August 23, 2026. An internal investigation by the ASP Office of Professional Standards was opened.
