Share With Your Friends

At approximately 11:07 AM today, Redfield Police officers successfully intercepted a vehicle reported stolen from Pulaski County as it entered the Redfield city limits. Officers located the vehicle on Ruby Drive, and upon approaching it, they encountered the suspect—a white male with a goatee, wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black hat—who immediately fled on foot into a wooded area behind a nearby residence.

The Redfield Police Department quickly coordinated efforts with the Army Corps of Engineers park rangers and a Jefferson County deputy to establish a secure perimeter around the area. Redfield K9 Bo was deployed to assist in the search, while drone support from the Sheridan Police Department provided crucial aerial surveillance.

Thanks to this coordinated effort, the suspect was located with the help of the drone. Upon noticing the drone, he exited the woods, where he was apprehended by a Redfield officer without further incident. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had entered a nearby trailer, where he altered his appearance by shaving and changing clothes in an attempt to evade capture.

This successful operation underscores the effectiveness of teamwork and collaboration between our local law enforcement agencies. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the participating agencies for their swift and professional assistance.

The Redfield Police Department is committed to maintaining the safety and security of our community. We appreciate the continued support and vigilance of our residents. For further information or to report any details related to this incident, please contact the Redfield Police Department.

Thank you for your cooperation and trust in our efforts.

Respectfully,

Chief Steve McFatridge
