On the date of March 19, 2024 members of the Drew County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 425 S. Upon their arrival an investigation into the accident was started and a driver of one of the vehicles involved was found to be under the influence and arrested at this time. During a search of the vehicle 490 grams of suspected methamphetamine was found along with two firearms and plastic explosives with a detonator. The suspect also had on his person 18 hydrocodone pills.
Timothy A. Tucker (51) of Crossett was interviewed and further information was gathered in which led to members of the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Drew County Sheriff’s Office and Ashley County Sheriff’s Office gaining a search warrant of Tuckers residence and executing it on that date. During this search several more firearms were located within the residence as well as drug paraphernalia and approximately 8 more grams of suspectedmethamphetamine.
On March 21, 2024 Tucker appeared before Circuit Judge Crews Puryear for the charges of (Drew County Case) Drug Trafficking Methamphetamine, SimultaneousPossession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Criminal Use of Prohibited Weapons, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Prohibited Articles in Certain Facilities and Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). (Ashley County Case) Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons. Based upon the information presented Timothy A. Tuckers bond was set at $1,000,000.00 (One Million Dollars and No Cents).
