In addition to fighting fires, the Camden Fire Department also provides support for the Arkansas Forestry Commission’s contracted Single-Engine Air Tankers. Firefighters spent two days last week filling the tankers at Camden Municipal Airport as they dropped water on several fires in and around Ouachita County. Each tanker holds approximately 750 gallons of water and can be filled in approximately two minutes.
