A woman in the Lake Tahoe area was shocked to see a bear jump out of a parked vehicle’s window just inches from her after honking the car’s horn, recently released footage shows.
Nest camera footage provided to Storyful by Stein Petersen shows the woman walking past a parked vehicle in Homewood, California, in August 2025. A smaller bear could be seen walking around near the rear end of the vehicle.
The two bears could be seen scurrying away as the woman ran back inside the cabin.
Petersen said that the bears were looking for “anything eatable.”
