El Dorado AR PD Sgt. Howe BWC 03/12/26 Investigating Disturbance At Southern Bancorp

On 3/12/2026 at approximately 1315 hours I, Sgt. Howe was contacted by the Customer service representative II, Staysha Sisk, for Southern Bancorp located at 1615 West Hillsboro Street. Sisk called Sgt. Howe advising there was a white female, later identified as Misty Hilton, that came into the bank asking questions trying to get her income taxes filed but made a threat.

Sgt. Howe arrived on scene and made contact with Sisk who advised Hilton first made contact with the teller, Maggie Goff, who advised Hilton she would have to go to the main branch. The main branch is located at 2421 North West Avenue. Hilton did not like what she was told and began to get upset. Sisk stated she heard Hilton getting upset and came out of her office to see if she could help the situation. Sisk stated Hilton was upset and did not want to hear anything that was being said, and stated “this is a show, this is about to be the end.” Hilton then began to walk toward the door and stated “yall work here, I wouldn’t be here in a little bit.” Sisk stated she immediately took it as a threat and took pictures of the vehicle Hilton was in, which was a black Kia with a license plate of “AGADEW” before it left the parking lot. Sisk stated she was worried of what Hilton could come back with, maybe implying she was coming back to shoot the bank up or bomb it, causing some sort of catastrophe.

Sisk was able to get the video footage and show Sgt. Howe. Sgt. Howe observed the video and it showed Hilton being very upset. Hilton looks back at the employees right after making the statement which led Goff and Sisk to feel threatened which caused Sisk to immediatly get her phone and call for help. Hilton had a look of “watch your back.” It was a look Sgt. Howe felt was noticeable to make a person feel uncomfortable. While speaking with Sisk, Sgt. Howe was advised Hilton had just went to the main branch approximately an hour prior and walked in but did not speak with anyone, simply mumbled some words and walked back out.

Due to Hilton going to both branches and her demeanor, Sisk along with other employees felt uneasy.

Hilton was later located at (removed) Foster Lane, along with the vehicle (AGADEW). Hilton admitted to saying those things in the bank to Lt. Rowland. Hilton was ultimately placed into custody and transported to South Arkansas Regional Hospital, where she was placed on a mental evaluation hold.

Hilton was released with a citation to appear in District Court on March 25, 2026 at 1330 hours.
