LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, a Pulaski County jury convicted Devontea Clay, 26, of two counts of Second-Degree Murder in connection with the 2023 killings of two North Little Rock teenagers.
The case against Clay began in May 2023 after the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) opened an investigation into the deaths of LaMarion Gilliam, 19, of North Little Rock, and Sucram O’Donald, 16, of Little Rock. Both victims were discovered in the early morning hours of May 23, 2023, near Arkansas Highway 161, south of Scott in Pulaski County.
ASP CID Special agents arrested Clay in July of 2024 at the Pulaski County Detention Center, where he was already being held on unrelated charges.
Clay received a sentence of 50 years for each murder count, plus an additional 10 years for a firearms enhancement on each charge. The court ordered the sentences to run consecutively, resulting in a total of 120 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
In addition, Clay faces pending criminal charges in five other jurisdictions along the Interstate 40 corridor across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Tennessee. The charges include First-Degree Battery, multiple counts of Aggravated Robbery, as well as additional firearm and drug offenses.
