As the community wraps up its August spotlight series alongside Alyson Bradford State Farm Insurance, the tables have turned on one of Pine Bluff’s most prominent media figures. In a surprise twist to close out the month, digital media pioneer Andre Braswell found himself stepping out from behind the camera to be featured as the final honoree.
Known professionally as Dre or Hollywood Braswell, Braswell serves as the founder, owner, and president of The Heat Magazine, a high-impact digital platform celebrated for delivering immediate, unfiltered news and regional coverage. With nearly two decades of experience in marketing, media, and entertainment as a seasoned hip-hop and live-content producer, Braswell has expanded his brand into a powerhouse.
Today, The Heat Magazine boasts a massive digital footprint with more than 463,000 Facebook followers, amplifying important voices and stories across Arkansas, Georgia, and beyond.
Though his professional reach spans state lines, approximately 85% of The Heat Magazine’s core focus remains firmly anchored in Pine Bluff, the city Braswell proudly calls home. A fierce and passionate advocate for the area, he works tirelessly to challenge negative media stereotypes by spotlighting Pine Bluff’s welcoming residents, local entrepreneurial talent, thriving businesses, and deep-rooted community connections.
Reflecting on the collaboration and the decision to honor Braswell, Alyson Bradford of State Farm Insurance shared high praise for the media executive’s relentless local dedication.
“I truly appreciate Andre’s outstanding work and the support he continually shows for our community and the work we do,” Bradford noted. “It is an honor to collaborate with him, and it feels fitting that our final August spotlight should shine on someone who spends so much time shining a light on others.”
The community joins in extending gratitude to Andre Braswell for his unwavering commitment to Pine Bluff and for leveraging his platform to ensure that local stories that truly matter continue to be told.
