On March 11, 2026, two suspects robbed the Portland Drugstore located in Portland, Arkansas.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspects conducted surveillance of the business on foot during the early morning hours. Surveillance footage from surrounding businesses shows the individuals walking in the area of the drugstore as early as approximately 6:00 a.m.
At approximately 9:10 a.m., the suspects entered the drugstore and, while armed with handguns, ordered the clerk and pharmacist to the floor at gunpoint, directing them onto their knees. One suspect remained at the front of the pharmacy, holding the clerk at gunpoint, while the second suspect escorted the pharmacist to the rear area where medications are stored.
The suspects removed approximately 3,737 pills, consisting primarily of controlled narcotics and pain medications. The medications were taken in their original containers and placed into a white plastic trash bag, which was approximately half full at the time of departure.
After exiting the business, the suspects fled on foot to Highway 165, where they entered a gray, four-door vehicle believed to be a Kia sedan. The vehicle was last observed traveling northbound on Highway 165 at approximately 9:22 a.m.
The direction of travel beyond that point is unknown.
