On Thursday March 20th approximately 12:40 am Monticello Fire Department was paged out to a structure fire on Barkada Rd.
Once on scene crews found a mobile home, camper, several outbuildings on fire. Crews were able to save a nearby home and large shop.
Fire fighting was hampered by high winds. Crews are still on scene as of 2:09 am putting out hot spots.
Monticello Arkansas Fire Deparment responded with Engine 1, 2 and tanker 1.
