MONTICELLO, Ark. — The UAM Pre-Vet Club will host a petting zoo at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The cost is $10 per participant. Parents enter for free with their children. Admittance includes the petting zoo, animal feed, one horse ride and cotton candy. Additional horse rides will be available for $5 each. Face painting will be available for $5.
The event will be held across the street from the Alvy Early Softball Field. Petting zoo attendees are also invited to attend UAM Softball’s game against Northwestern Oklahoma State University at 2 p.m. for free.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Monticello 2nd Chance Fur Dogs, a dog rescue organization located in Monticello, Arkansas.
