MONTICELLO, Ark. — Angelia, Bennie III, Margaret Anne, Marion and Ray Ryburn have gifted $125,000 to support the UAM Fund and the UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM).
In 2020, the Ryburn family established the UAM Fund to provide financial support for operational expenses, capital projects, equipment needs and academic instruction at UAM.
The UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign focuses on enhancing the support of student-athletes through major facility improvements. The campaign aims to have 250 donors join each year, generating a yearly revenue of $250,000 toward improving various facilities.
For decades, UAM has received unwavering support from the Ryburn family and their businesses, including Commercial Bank & Trust Company, Connect Bank and Ryburn Motor Company.
Hud Jackson, director of Athletics and head football coach at UAM, offered his thanks to the Ryburns, stating, “The Ryburn family has done so much for our great university and athletics department. Words can’t express how much they mean to us. We do not take them for granted. Many of our campaigns involve this wonderful family, and we hope that this relationship continues to grow. We appreciate their willingness to help our cause in athletics.”
“We are incredibly grateful to the Ryburn family for their generous contribution to the UAM Fund and the UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign,” stated Dr. Peggy Doss, chancellor of UAM. “Their support is essential to our mission of providing quality education to our students. We deeply appreciate their legacy of commitment to the university.”
