
On Tuesday, The House approved HCR1006, which extends the 2025 Regular Session. This resolution allows the General Assembly to continue until April 16 and adjourn Sine Die on May 5.
The House also passed SB208 and SB211. SB208 updates the law on initiative and referendum petitions, requiring canvassers to verify a potential petitioner’s photo ID before collecting signatures. SB211 requires petition canvassers to submit an affidavit affirming their compliance with the Arkansas Constitution and all laws related to canvassing, perjury, forgery, and election fraud.
Additionally, the House passed HB1474, which mandates the display of information about the National Human Trafficking Hotline at nail salons, massage businesses, and any privately owned facilities offering food, fuel, shower, or sanitary services, as well as overnight parking, within 1,320 feet of an interstate.
