On April 30, 2025, at approximately 0920 hours, 1, Officer J. Palmer was dispatched to address redacted Jeffcoat Road in reference to an overdose.
On arrival, I was met outside on the porch by a black male, who stated “they are doing CPR on him” and pointed inside the residence. I went inside and saw a white male, who was identified as Mr. Michael Branson sitting in a chair with a female holding on to him.
The female stated “I don’t know what happened to him, he said he wasn’t feeling good” and another female stated “He was sleepy and he sat down in a chair and started turning blue.” Branson was turning blue and was unresponsive. I asked the females could it have been a overdose and they both responded saying “I don’t know, I don’t know” I administered one dose of Naloxone HCI nasal spray 4mg (Narcan) in his right nostril and then the female holding Branson and I assisted Branson to the floor and placed Branson in the recovery position.
As soon as we placed Branson in the recovery position, he started moving his arm towards his face. Branson was still not opening his eyes but was moving on the floor. EASI personal arrived on scene and took over the medical attention at that point.
As I was getting Branson information from Candace Hill, caller, who stated Branson came in and said he is not feeling good, was not feeling himself and started turning blue. Hill stated that Branson used fentanyl.
