According to the Chief of Police, Carlos Garcia, Monticello police officers were dispatched on December 30,2024 in reference to a stolen trailer taken from a residence in Monticello.
The officers started to search for the suspect’s vehicle and trailer. The vehicle was found at a local pawn shop.
Two suspects were questioned and apprehended and was taken to the Drew County Detention Facility.
The stolen trailer was recovered at a parking lot in Wilmar and was returned back to the owner. There were
