On 7-11-2024 at approximately 0629 hours, I Sgt. Cingolani was dispatched to Harvest Rice located at 1232 Highland St. in regards to someone trespassing.

Upon arrival, I noticed a black male later identified as Stevphon Dozier, leaning against the fence. I made contact with the security guard Charles Crofford. He stated that the male by the fence had climbed the back fence and had attempted to climb the other fence and he fell. Charles stated when he spoke to the individual, his speech was slurred and he wasn’t making any sense.

I then made contact with Stevphon. I asked him what was going on. He stated he was trying to get to his friend’s house. I asked where did his friend live and he pointed towards Church St. I asked if his friend lives over there then what was he doing over here. He was un able to answer. He started saying he wanted to call his cousin and was trying to reach into his back right pocket. I told him to keep his hands still. He stated he was looking for his phone. While speaking with Stevphon he was swaying and almost fell. I had him take a seat on the ground so he would not fall.

Once he was seated on the ground, the Guard stated that a pistol fell out of the pocket that he was messing with. He stated that he took possession of the firearm and placed it this vehicle. He stated that the magazine was still in his pocket. The firearm was a Glock .22LR with serial number AEEA051 I took possession of the firearm and placed it in my police vehicle and locked the door.

I then went to speak with Stevphon. I had him stand up and asked him how much had he had to drink and he stated a lot. I advised him that he was under arrest for criminal trespassing and public intoxication. I asked if he had anything in his pocket that poke, stick or hurt me and he stated no and tried to reach into his back right pocket. I told him to keep his hands out of his pocket. I placed him handcuffs and checked for tightness and double locked them. I then checked his pockets and founds a magazine in the back right pocket with bullets in it, loose bullets in his back right pocket. In his front left pocket, he had a pill bottle with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a white pill and what looks like a blue pill. He was then placed in my patrol vehicle and transported to McGehee Jail and turned over to the on-call booking staff for book in process.

The suspected Narcotics were turned over to the Narcotics Investigator for processing and identifying.

Noting further to report.
