According to Drew County Arkansas Sheriff Tim Nichols a local sex offender has been arrested.
Akym Avery of Wilmar Arkansas was arrested on Thursday April 10th 2025 by Sgt Chris Austin for failure to comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements (Class C Felony).
He was taken before Judge Bruce Anderson for first judicial appearance and his bond was set at $10,000 commercial.
He is currently being held at the Drew County Detention Facility.
