LEGISLATIVE TOWN HALL FOR MONTICELLO AND SURROUNDING AREAS
HOSTED BY CONCERNED CITIZENS OF MONTICELLO, ARKANSAS PUBLIC POLICY PANEL, AND ARKANSAS CITIZENS FIRST CONGRESS
WHAT: A town hall to connect fellow Arkansans and stakeholders in Monticello and surrounding areas of southeast Arkansas.
We will share insight into the 2025 legislative session, providing an opportunity for constituents to ask questions and get answers about policies being filed and passed in this year’s Assembly. We will also discuss potential planning and outreach opportunities beyond the 2025 session, especially for those strategies that focus on strengthening direct democracy and public education in our state.
This event is hosted by Concerned Citizens of Monticello, in collaboration with Arkansas Public Policy Panel and Arkansas Citizens First Congress.
WHEN: Friday, April 11, 2025 at 6:00pm
WHERE: Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church Life Center at 527 E. McCloy St. in Monticello
WHY: This coalition of advocates sees a real need to engage under-represented communities throughout the state, especially in light of legislation that has been filed and passed this session. It’s clear that our best step forward as a better, fair, and equitable Arkansas includes outreach and connection with all citizens in our state.
WHO: Kymara Seals, Policy Director at Arkansas Public Policy Panel, will share policy insight during this event.
