Last evening, each of the top five students from Drew Central Elementary, Monticello Intermediate, Drew Central Middle, and Monticello Middle Schools showcased their talent in the Drew County Spelling Bee.
The first word that comes to mind is … WOW!
We are incredibly impressed by all the outstanding participants – it was a remarkable experience watching each student excel to (and through) the Drew County Bee!
After over 30 rounds of intense competition, we are thrilled to congratulate Drew County’s overall winner, Lily Copico!🥇👏🏼
Lily will advance to represent Drew County at the 2025 Arkansas State Spelling Bee!

Congratulations to all the students, as well as the proud parents and dedicated educators who have supported and poured into these young scholars! They truly made Drew County proud last night!
We would also like to extend our thanks to the Gifted and Talented teachers at each school, Morgan Curry (Drew Central) and Haley Greer (Monticello), for their initiative in reaching out to us and allowing us to play a small role in each of these wonderful events!
