DON TRIPLETT APPOINTED AS Cleveland COUNTY JUDGE

Former Justice of the Peace Don Triplett of New Edinburg was selected by the Cleveland County Quorum Court Monday night to serve as county judge through Dec. 31, 2026. Triplett succeeds the late Jimmy Dale Adair, was passed away on Jan. 2 after being appointed to fill the unexpired term of the late County Judge Jimmy Cummings. Triplett was one of three candidates considered for the appointment. Kelly Slater of the Randall community and Rusty Leopard of the Rison area were also considered. County Clerk Brandy Herring swore Triplett into immediately after his appointment. Triplett served on the Cleveland County Quorum Court for 16 years representing the New Edinburg area. He has more than 40 years experience in the construction business.
