On August 6th 2025 Deputy Austin Freeman responded to a call for service at a residence on State Highway 1, in the Pea Ridge Community. Upon arrival Deputy Freeman discovered that 36 year old Kirby Barnett had physically assaulted his mother, who was bleeding from her head.
After the investigation, Barnett was placed under arrest and transported to the McGehee City Jail, and was charged with Domestic Battery 2nd Degree. He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
