Dallas County AR Sheriff Deputy Estes BWC 04/26/24 Assisting Probation and Parole With Home Visit

On April 26, 2024 Dallas County Sheriff’s department helped Probation and Parole with a home visit at address redacted Hayes st. in Fordyce. Upon my arrival contact had already been made with the home owner, Mr. F’rank Tatum.

Mr. Tatum was directed to come outside so he could be searched. I observed Mr. Tatum drop a clear baggie full of a white crystal like substance on the ground and try to hide it by covering it up with his foot.

As soon as he realized that i observed it he bent over and grabbed the bag from the ground and fled on foot. Mr. Tatum ran directly to the neighbors Fence and threw the bag over it and turned to his left and continued to flee into the back yard of his residence.

At this time i deployed my taser. One taser barb struck Mr. in the upper part of his back and the other barb struck him in the lower part of his back. Mr. Tatum was taken into custody at this time and placed into handcuffs.

They were checked for tightness and to make sure they were double locked at this time. Mr. Tatum was helped up from the ground and escorted back to the front yard.

At this time Mr. Tatum admitted that he had around 3 pounds of Marijuana in the truck of a silver Cadillac sedan that belonged to him.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and 3 nylon bags were found in the truck. the first bag had 3 large bags of a green leafy substance inside of it.

The second bag had an additional 2 large bags of a green leafy substance inside. The third bag had 6 vape pens that contained THC and a small. clear bag that was full of a whjte powdery substance.

All 3 bags were taken for evidence and the car was towed to Dallas County Sheriff1s Department. Mr. Tatum was transported to the Dallas County Detention Center to be held until first appearance.
