The Drew County Sheriff’s Office has been approved for a $97,400 grant from the Arkansas Highway Safety Office. This is a 90% / 10% grant that will be used to equip 13 patrol vehicles with computers, scanners and printers. By doing so this will keep patrol deputies in our communities and on patrol as they will be able to complete accident and incident reports from their vehicles.
This step is a move forward for the Sheriff’s Office and we are proud to see the advancement. I also would like to thank our Quorum Court for approving the appropriation of funds that will be taken from within the Sheriff’s Radio and Communication fund. Ultimately not costing the county a dime out of County General.
Sheriff Tim Nichols
