ASP INVESTIGATING, CHARGE DRIVER IN FATAL HIT-AND-RUN ON I-430

A Little Rock woman has been charged in a pedestrian fatality that occurred on Interstate 430 on Monday, September 14, 2026. 

Around 1 a.m. on that date, Arkansas State Police (ASP) was contacted regarding a deceased person in the roadway near the 6-mile marker.

Special Agents with the ASP Criminal Investigation Division were called to investigate and discovered several pieces of evidence at the scene, including vehicle parts.

Agents later located the vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash and interviewed the driver, Kaleigh Reaves, 24. 

On Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, Reaves turned herself in at Pulaski County District Court. She was charged with Negligent Homicide, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving While Intoxicated.

The victim has been identified as a 36-year-old woman from Hot Springs.

The investigation is ongoing. No additional information is being released at this time.
