The Delta Justice Center and the Veterans Legal Services Clinic at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will partner to host their third legal clinic for veterans. This free event will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the VFW in Monticello (148 Veterans Drive, Monticello, AR 71655).
This clinic will offer free consultations on VA disability appeals and discharge upgrades. Other legal issues will be considered on a case by case basis and according to attorney availability. Veterans from any county are welcome and invited to attend.
Partners for this clinic include the Delta Justice Center, UALR William H. Bowen School of Law Veterans Legal Services Clinic, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4515. Attorneys who would like to volunteer can contact Attorney Tabitha Lee for more information.
This series of clinics has successfully provided free legal advice to 25 people including 20 veterans from 7 counties. Community partners hope to expand the clinic, entering its second year of service, throughout the area to serve more veterans in surrounding counties. “As Commander of VFW Post 4515, we are here to support and serve the veterans and dependents with all their needs and issues,” says Commander Melvin Veasey. “We also appreciate the support from Monticello and the surrounding counties. Meetings are every third Tuesday each month at 6:00 p.m.”
Clinic attorneys will see walk-ins on a first come first served basis. Please bring any relevant documentation about your legal issue to the clinic.
