Residents across Southeast Arkansas now have an opportunity to directly support independent local journalism through donations to the Southeast Arkansas News Foundation, an organization focused on providing community-centered news coverage throughout the region.
The Southeast Arkansas News Foundation works to deliver breaking news, public safety alerts, weather coverage, community updates, local government reporting, and human-interest stories that impact families across Southeast Arkansas. As local news outlets continue to face financial challenges nationwide, community donations have become increasingly important in helping independent journalism remain active and accessible.
Foundation leaders say every contribution helps support day-to-day operations, including field reporting, emergency coverage, photography, livestreams, website costs, and social media updates that keep residents informed during severe weather events, public emergencies, and major local developments.
“Local journalism matters because our communities deserve accurate and timely information,” the foundation said in a statement. “Donations from readers and supporters help us continue covering the stories that matter most to Southeast Arkansas.”
Supporters can contribute through one-time donations or recurring monthly support. Funds raised will help expand coverage efforts, improve reporting resources, and strengthen public access to local news across the area.
Community members who wish to donate are encouraged to follow the Southeast Arkansas News Foundation’s official social media pages and website for additional information on how to contribute and support ongoing local news coverage.
The Southeast Arkansas News Foundation says it remains committed to transparency, public service journalism, and keeping communities informed throughout Southeast Arkansas.
