A singer stretched out her performance of the US national anthem as the timing of a pregame flyover was botched during opening day at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on Friday, April 3.
Video shot by spectators shows Alexandra Castle, a regular singer at Los Angeles Angels games, pausing several times and dragging out the last lines of the Star Spangled Banner to allow a trio of pilots to reach the stadium.
According to The Athletic, a flyover was also botched at the stadium during opening day in 2025.
