According to Arkansas State Police on Sunday February 25th 2024, at about 3 p.m an unidentified driver fled on foot without placing his vehicle in park after Trooper Butler conducted a routine traffic stop.
The suspect was not identified or located.
A passenger, Leeodies Newton, was taken into custody and transported to the Drew County Detention Center and charged with:
Obstructing Governmental Operations
Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance < 4oz
Possession of firearms by certain persons
Criminal uses of prohibited weapons.
